The Jeremy E. Evans Student Film Fund Award was created to honor the legacy of a remarkable filmmaker, student and friend. A proud graduate of the UCF Film School Class of 2000, Jeremy E. Evans was best known for pushing the boundaries of traditional storytelling, using his student films to provoke thought and spark meaningful conversation amongst his peers. His passion for filmmaking was only surpassed by his love and unwavering commitment to his family and friends. Jeremy's journey as a student resonated deeply with many - balancing creativity, ambition and personal challenges - and thus, this fund exists to help UCF film students navigate that same path. In his memory, the award supports UCF student filmmakers in offsetting the costs of their thesis projects, and in doing so, continues to spotlight and empower the voices of tomorrow's storytellers.

Student awardees of the Jeremy E. Evans Student Film Fund Award are selected by the film faculty based upon a review of all BFA senior films and screenplays. Four awards of $500 are announced and given at the Spring Screenings each year. Awards are used to submit projects to festivals and student competitions.
